Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree . (Add fresh 2-mercaptoethanol to a concentration of 5mM after prolonged storage.) Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20 degree . For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

AAA Biotech's S100 Protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoassay, Antiserum Production, Iodination. Suitable for use as a standard in immunoassay, as an immunogen for antiserum production and tracer for iodination. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the reseacher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the S100B s100b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "S100 Protein, Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
