Related Product Information for Ebola Virus VP40 recombinant protein
The Ebola VP40 protein is a viral matrix protein. VP40 coordinates numerous functions in the viral life cycle of the Ebola virus such as,regulation of viral transcription, morphogenesis, andpackaging and budding of mature virions. The VP40 monomer consists of two protein domains, the N-terminal oligomerization domain and the C-terminal membrane-binding domain, connected by a flexible linker. Study of the matrix protein VP40 is important due to the high mortality rate of the Ebola virus, which is listed as a WHO Risk Group 4 Pathogen, an HHS Select Agent, an NIH/NIAID Category A Priority Pathogen, a CDC Category A Bioterrorism Agent, and a Biological Agent for Export Control by the Australia Group.

Product Notes

The Ebola Virus VP40 (Catalog #AAA224577) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E. coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Ebola Virus VP40 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, WB (Western Blot), ELISA, LF (Lateral Flow). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ebola Virus VP40 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ebola Virus VP40, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
