Related Product Information for MLL5 recombinant protein
Description: Recombinant human MLL5 (1-548) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.
Scientific Background: Mixed-lineage leukemia protein 5 (MLL5) plays a key regulatory role in hematopoiesis by mediating mono- or demethylation of lysine-4 of histone H3 (1). MLL5 can associate with host cell factor-1 (HCF-1) and be recruited to E2F1-responsive promoters, and thus promotes cell cycle progression (2). Isoform NKp44L acts as cellular ligand for a natural cytotoxicity receptor, which is critical for NK cell-mediated innate immunity (3).

Product Notes
The MLL5 kmt2e (Catalog #AAA73024) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-548. AAA Biotech's MLL5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Methyltransferase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MLL5 kmt2e for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MLL5, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
