Related Product Information for MEK7 recombinant protein
Description: Recombinant full-length human MEK7 was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.
Scientific Background: Mitogen-activated protein kinase 7 (MKK7 or MEK7) is a dual-specificity protein kinase of the STE7 family. Directly phosphorylates the Thr-Pro-Tyr motif located in the activation loop of JNK1/2 and activate the kinases in response to environmental stress, pro-inflammatory cytokines or developmental cues. The activation of MKK7 is mediated by various MAPKKKs, including mixed lineage protein kinases (MLKs) and MAPK/ERK kinase (MEK) kinase (MEKK1).
