Adhesion G protein-coupled receptor E1 is also known as F4/80. It is an orphan receptor involved in cell adhesion and probably in cell-cell interactions specifically involving cells of the immune system. In mouse, F4/80 is a well-characterized and extensively referenced macrophage marker. It is also known as Ly71 and EMR1, and is part of the EGF-TM7 family. It is a 160 kDa glycoprotein that shares 68% amino acid identity with human EGF-like module-containing mucin-like hormone receptor-like 1 (EMR1).

WB: 1:1000 (3-8% Tris-acetate gel recommended) IP: 6 ul/mg lysate IHC: 1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections. ICC: 1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for FFPE cell sections. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the F4/80 emr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "F4/80, Monoclonal Recombinant Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
