Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for E2 and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated E2. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled E2 and unlabeled E2 with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of E2 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Intended Uses: For the quantitative detection of Fish Estradiol (E2) concentration in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

The Fish E2 (Catalog #AAA13253) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA13253 ELISA Kit recognizes Fish E2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Estradiol, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
