Related Product Information for anti-SIRT3 antibody
The Silent Information Regulator (SIR2) family of genes are highly conserved from prokaryotes to eukaryotes and are involved in diverse processes, including transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, DNA-damage repair and aging. In S. cerevisiae, Sir2p deacetylates histones in an NAD-dependent manner, which regulates silencing at the telomeric, rDNA and silent mating-type loci. Sir2p is the founding member of a large family, designated sirtuins, which contain a conserved catalytic domain. The human homologues, which include SIRT1-7, are divided into four main branches: SIRT1-3 are class I, SIRT4 is class II, SIRT5 is class III and SIRT6-7 are class IV. SIRT3 is a NAD-dependent deacetylase that contains one deacetylase sirtuin-type domain. The SIRT3 protein is widely expressed and localizes to the mitochondira where it is processed by mitochondrial processing peptidase (MPP) to yield a final product. This processing is most-likely necessary for its enzymatic activity.

Product Notes

The SIRT3 sirt3 (Catalog #AAA29877) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SIRT3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SIRT3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB: 1:1000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 ICC: 1:50-1:200 FC/FACS: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SIRT3 sirt3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SIRT3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
