TAT (49-57) is modified with 5-Azido-pentanoic acid for click chemistry. The azido group can react with alkyne containing molecules in the presence of Cu/CuSO4 yielding a conjugate crosslinked by a triazole moiety. The reaction can be applied for the conjugation of TAT to various molecules include oligonucleotides to facilitate cell penetration for therapeutic applications. S. Brown and D.
