Related Product Information for PDGFB active protein
Introduction: Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is one of the numerous growth factors, or proteins that regulate cell growth and division. In particular, it plays a significant role in blood vessel formation (angiogenesis), the growth of blood vessels from already-existing blood vessel tissue. PDGF is a potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin, including fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells and glial cells.
Description: Recombinant human hPDGF produced in Yeast is a homodimer of two glycosylated, polypeptide chains containing 109 amino acid residues each, one intercellular and three intracellular pairs of disulfide bonds, having a molecular weight of 30 kDa.

Product Notes
The PDGFB pdgfb (Catalog #AAA62063) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Platelet-derived growth factor, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
