Anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), also known as Mullerian-inhibiting hormone (MIH), is a glycoprotein hormone structurally related to inhibin and activin from the transforming growth factor beta superfamily, whose key roles are in growth differentiation and folliculogenesis. AMH is a standard marker of ovarian reserve. Correlation between AMH and egg euploidy is controversial. Gat I et al study shows a correlation between AMH and aneuploidy rate, specifically among infertile patients younger than 37 years old. AMH is also a reliable marker of ovarian reserve in endometriosis patients, and it can predict follicular density in women undergoing ovarian tissue cryopreservation. In mammals, AMH prevents the development of the Mullerian ducts into the uterus and other Mullerian structures. The effect is ipsilateral, that is each testis suppresses Mullerian development only on its own side. In humans, this action takes place during the first 8 weeks of gestation. If no hormone is produced from the gonads, the Mullerian ducts automatically develop, while the Wolffian ducts, which are responsible for male reproductive parts, automatically die.

Product Notes
The MIS/AMH amh (Catalog #AAA59140) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Eukaryotic expression (293-F cell) and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's AMH can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MIS/AMH amh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AMH, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
