Norovirus capsid protein VP1 Antibody | anti-VP1 antibody

Anti-Norovirus capsid protein VP1 [A1227]

Reactivity
Norovirus
Applications
ELISA
Purity
Purified. Protein A affinity purified
Synonyms
Norovirus capsid protein VP1; N/A; Anti-Norovirus capsid protein VP1 [A1227]; VP1; CP; p59; soluble capsid protein; Protein 30k; p30; Norwalk virus; anti-VP1 antibody
Ordering
Reactivity
Norovirus
Isotype
Mouse IgG1 kappa
Clone Number
A1227
Specificity
This antibody shows broadly binding but no blocking activity toward multiple GI and GII strains such as GI.I, GII.2, and GII.17. This antibody recognizes a highly conserved epitope located at an occluded site on the norovirus capsid, at the interface between the P domain and shell domain of the Norovirus, which explain its high level of cross-reactivity. Norovirus (NoVs) is one of the main pathogens causing sporadic cases and large outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis, and norovirus can infect people of all ages.
Purity/Purification
Purified. Protein A affinity purified
Form/Format
PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Concentration
1mg/ml (varies by lot)
Applicable Applications for anti-VP1 antibody
ELISA
Chimeric Use Statement
This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original human IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for up to 3 months. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20 degree C.

Product Notes

The VP1 orf1 (Catalog #AAA72329) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Norovirus capsid protein VP1 [A1227] reacts with Norovirus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Norovirus capsid protein VP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VP1 orf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Norovirus capsid protein VP1, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
