Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex.
NOTE: Allow the reconstituted vial to sit at room temperature for 1 hour before use. This solution can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 week. For extended storage, it is recommended to further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein (example 0.1% BSA) and store in working aliquots at - 20°C to -80°C
Preparation and Storage
Stability: The lyophilized protein is stable at room temperature for 1 month and at 4°C for 6 months. Reconstituted working aliquots are stable for 1 week at 2°C to 8°C and for 3 months at -20°C to -80°C.

Related Product Information for ApoE4 recombinant protein
ApoE3 belongs to a group of proteins that bind reversibly with lipoprotein and play an important role in lipid metabolism. In addition to facilitating solubilization of lipids, these proteins help to maintain the structural integrity of lipoproteins, serve as ligands for lipoprotein receptors, and regulate the activity of enzymes involved in lipid metabolism. Significant quantities of ApoE are produced in liver and brain and to some extent in almost every organ. ApoE exists in three major isoforms; E2, E3, and E4, which differ from one another by a single amino-acid substitution. E3 is the most common isoform and is present in 40-90% of the population. Recombinant human ApoE3 is a 34.0 kDa protein containing 300 amino acid residues.

Product Notes

The ApoE4 apoe (Catalog #AAA14946) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MEVEQAVETE PEPELRQQTE WQSGQRWELA LGRFWDYLRW VQTLSEQVQE ELLSSQVTQE LRALMDETMK ELKAYKSELE EQLTPVAEET RARLSKELQA AQARLGADME DVRGRLVQYR GEVQAMLGQS TEELRVRLAS HLRKLRKRLL RDADDLQKRL AVYQAGAREG AERGLSAIRE RLGPLVEQGR VRAATVGSLA GQPLQERAQA WGERLRARME EMGSRTRDRL DEVKEQVAEV RAKLEEQAQQ IRLQAEAFQA RLKSWFEPLV EDMQRQWAGL VEKVQAAVGT SAAPVPSDNH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ApoE4, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
