Reactivity
Porcine
Synonyms
Androgen Receptor; N/A; Porcine Androgen Receptor ELISA Kit; AR elisa kit

Reactivity
Porcine
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of AR. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between AR and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between AR and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Intended Uses
This AR ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Porcine AR. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic applications!
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Principle of the Assay: AR ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-AR antibody and an AR-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with AR-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the AR concentration since AR from samples and AR-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-AR antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by AR from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind AR-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The AR concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Intended Uses: This AR ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Porcine AR. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Product Notes

The Porcine AR ar (Catalog #AAA89498) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA89498 ELISA Kit recognizes Porcine AR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Androgen Receptor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
