Preparation and Storage
Please store the whole kit at -20 degree C upon receipt, and protect from light. The kit is valid for 6 months. Please refer to the table below Materials supplied and Storage conditions to store all the components.
It is recommended to use fresh samples, which can be stored at -80 degree C for several weeks if the experiment is not carried out immediately. When measuring, the temperature and time of thawing should be controlled. When thawing at room temperature, the sample should be thawed within 4 h.

alpha-Galactosidase (alpha-GAL, EC 3.2.1.22) is widely present in animals, plants, microorganisms, and cultured cells, and can specifically catalyze alpha-The hydrolysis of galactoside bonds mainly participates in the degradation of galactosides such as raffinose, stachyose, melibiose, and galactomannan. alpha-GAL is crucial for the germination of plant seeds. In the early stages of seed germination, the D-galactose catalyzed by alpha-GAL is rapidly converted and consumed through glycolysis, providing the initial energy source for seed germination.
