Usage Notes
If not assayed immediately, samples can be stored at -80 degree C for one month. It is recommended to perform several dilutions of your sample to ensure the readings are within the standard value range. Fresh samples are necessary for good results. If don't perform the assay at the same time, it's better to complete the Sample Preparation step before storing the samples.

Storage at 4 degree C and Keep from light immediately upon receipt. Kit has a storage time of 6 months from receipt. Refer to list of materials supplied for storage conditions of individual components.

Glutaminase (GLS), which is mainly found in higher animals, some bacteria and plant roots, catalyzes the hydrolysis of glutamine to glutamate and ammonia. It plays an important role in the regulation of nitrogen metabolism, especially the content of free ammonia and urea metabolism. Micro Glutaminase (GLS) Activity Assay Kit can detect biological samples such as animal and plant tissues, bacteria and cells, serum or plasma. In this kit, GLS catalyzes the hydrolysis of glutamine to L-glutamate and ammonia, and its enzymatic activity can be calculated by detecting the rate of ammonia increase using Nessler's reagent.
