Usage Notes
If not assayed immediately, samples can be stored at -80 degree C for one month. It is recommended to perform several dilutions of your sample to ensure the readings are within the standard value range. Fresh samples are necessary for good results. If don't perform the assay at the same time, it's better to complete the Sample Preparation step before storing the samples.

Hepatolipase (HL) is a type of lipolytic enzyme synthesized in liver parenchymal cells. It exists on the surface of endothelial cells inthe perisinusoidal space of the liver and on the microvilli surface of liver cells in the perisinusoidal space. It can hydrolyzetriglycerides (TG) and phospholipids (PL) in various lipoproteins, causing changes in the size and density of various lipoproteinparticles. When the HL and its activity in the plasma increase, it can lead to low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in the plasma Theincrease of the level accelerates the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis. HL hydrolysis alpha-Naphthyl acetate toproduce alpha-Naphthol, which can form a purple red azo compound with fixed blue B salt, has a characteristic absorption peak at 595nm, and its color depth is positively correlated with HL activity within a certain range.
