Related Product Information for IL-1 alpha active protein
IL-1 alpha /IL-1F1, also known as interleukin-1 alpha, is a member of the interleukin-1 cytokine family. Cytokines are protein signaling compounds that are the main mediators of the immune response. This protein is produced mainly by activated macrophages, as well as neutrophils, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells. It possesses metabolic, physiological, haematopoietic activities, and plays one of the central roles in the regulation of the immune responses. It binds to the interleukin-1 receptor. It is on the pathway that activates tumor necrosis factor-alpha. Also, it stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B cell maturation and proliferation. Recombinant mouse IL-1 alpha, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

The amino acid sequence is listed below: SAPYTYQ SDLRYKLMKL VRQKFVMNDS LNQTIYQDVD KHYLSTTWLN DLQQEVKFDM YAYSSGGDDS KYPVTLKISD SQLFVSAQGE DQPVLLKELP ETPKLITGSE TDLIFFWKSI NSKNYFTSAA YPELFIATKE QSRVHLARGL PSMTDFQIS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-1 alpha/IL-1F1, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
