C11-BODIPY581/591 can easily enter membranes and exhibits good spectral separation of the nonoxidized (595 nm) and oxidized (520 nm) forms[1].Stock solutions of C11 BODIPY581/591 are made by dissolving 1 mg in 20 mM organic solvent.Cells are labeled in DMEM or PBS with 1-20 uM C11-BODIPY581/591 at 37 degree C, 30 min before the experiment.Alternatively, cells are incubated in DMEM with 1-10 uM preoxidized C11-BODIPY581/591.
