Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Chicken ALP antibody. ALP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Chicken ALP Antibody is added and binds to ALP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ALP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Chicken ALP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Product Notes
The Chicken ALP (Catalog #AAA18988) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA18988 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken ALP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions

What does an ALP ELISA kit measure compared to a routine ALP blood test?
An ALP ELISA kit precisely measures alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels in serum, tissue, or plasma samples using the ELISA method, while a routine ALP blood test provides a quick ALP screening as part of general health checkups.
Which sample types give the most reliable ALP results with this kit?
Serum and plasma give the best ALP results with this Chicken ALP ELISA Kit. They are the cleanest and most consistent samples in the lab research. These samples ensure accuracy and are commonly used in a laboratory for enzyme detection and analysis.
Can this ALP ELISA distinguish between liver- and bone-derived ALP?
No, this ALP ELISA kit doesn't distinguish between liver-derived ALP and bone-derived ALP. It measures total ALP level and detects overall enzyme level without differentiating the source (liver, bone, and other tissues).
Is this kit suitable for monitoring bone or liver disease research?
Yes, this ELISA ALP kit is suitable for monitoring bone or liver disease research. It quantifies alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels, which act as a useful tool for studying and monitoring. It is an important biomarker for the condition affecting bones and the liver.
Do high bilirubin or lipid levels interfere with ALP measurement?
High levels of bilirubin or lipids particularly interfere with the ALP test results by clouding the sample or blocking the enzyme reaction. Always check for clear serum/plasma and note these factors when reading outcomes—they affect accuracy.
Is the ALP ELISA sensitive enough for low-level enzyme detection?
Yes, the ALP ELISA kit is highly sensitive. It detects even low levels of the enzyme in samples accurately. This high sensitivity ensures precise and reliable measurements of small enzyme quantities, making it an ideal tool for research applications where subtle changes in ALP concentration need to be accurately tracked and analyzed.
