Related Product Information for CRP recombinant protein
Recombinant Dog C-reactive Protein is a 204 aa recombinant protein produced in a eukaryotic expression system.C-reactive protein is an acute phase protein, produced by the liver, that is used as a marker of inflammation. Canine C-reactive protein (CRP), as with C-reactive protein in other species, forms a pentamer. Canine CRP differs from human CRP in that two of the subunits making up the pentamer are glycosylated. This recombinant canine CRP is partially glycosylated, and while the pattern of glycosylation differs slightly from that of native canine CRP, SDS page analysis demonstrates that this recombinant canine CRP behaves in a similar way to the native protein. With similar biochemical properties to the native canine CRP, this reagent may be used as a standard in immunoassays for canine CRP.

Product Notes

The CRP crp (Catalog #AAA50284) is a Recombinant Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RECOMBINANT DOG C-REACTIVE PROTEIN reacts with Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C-REACTIVE PROTEIN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRP crp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C-REACTIVE PROTEIN, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
