Principle of the Assay: Available phosphorus is a phosphorus component that can be absorbed by plants in soil, including all water-soluble phosphorus, part of adsorbed phosphorus and organic phosphorus. Available phosphorus in soil is one of the main factors limiting plant growth. Available phosphorus were extracted by double acid method, determined by molybdenum antimony anti colorimetry. The material formed by molybdenum blue and phosphate had a characteristic absorption peak at 660 nm. The phosphorus content was calculated by measuring the absorbance at 660 nm.
