Related Product Information for FIP1L1-PDGFR alpha recombinant protein
Description: Recombinant human FIP1L1-PDGFRA, the fusion protein [FIP1L1 (1-265)-PDGFRA (579-end)], was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.
Scientific Background: FIP1L1 or factor interacting with PAPOLA and CPSF1 is a subunit of the CPSF (cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor) complex that polyadenylates the 3' end of mRNA precursors. The FIP1L1-PDGFRA fusion gene encodes a constitutively activated tyrosine kinase that transforms hematopoietic cells and is inhibited by imatinib in which fusion of the PDGFRA and FIP1L1 genes as a therapeutic target of imatinib in idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome (1). FIP1L1-PDGFR-alpha requires disruption of the juxtamembrane protein of PDGFR-alpha and is FIP1L1-independent (2).

Product Notes
The FIP1L1-PDGFR alpha (Catalog #AAA73042) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-265 (FIP1L1). AAA Biotech's FIP1L1-PDGFR alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FIP1L1-PDGFR alpha for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FIP1L1-PDGFR alpha, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
