Related Product Information for HAP protein
AAA Biotech is the leading manufacturer of human serum Heptoglobin for research and manufacturing.
Custom preparations, technical support, bulk quantities and aliquoting available.
Haptoglobin is a protein in the blood plasma that binds free hemoglobin released from erythrocytes with high affinity and thereby inhibits its oxidative activity. The haptoglobin-hemoglobin complex will then be removed by the reticuloendothelial system (mostly the spleen) and is a serum protein that consists of two alpha and two beta chains connected by disulfide bridges. It acts as a hemoglobin scavenger and has been associated with protease inhibitory activity. Human Haptoglobin is a positive acute phase reactant, the levels of which increase significantly in human(s) in response to inflammation, tissue injury or disease.

Product Notes
The HAP hpr (Catalog #AAA44800) is a Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Haptoglobin, Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
