Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.

Related Product Information for MT-ND5 elisa kit
Description: This Human NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 5 (MT-ND5) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MT-ND5 in samples. An antibody specific for MT-ND5 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MT-ND5 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MT-ND5 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MT-ND5 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Background: MT-ND5 (Mitochondrially Encoded NADH:Ubiquinone Oxidoreductase Core Subunit 5) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with MT-ND5 include Leber Optic Atrophy and Leigh Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Metabolism and Respiratory electron transport, ATP synthesis by chemiosmotic coupling, and heat production by uncoupling proteins.. GO annotations related to this gene include NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) activity. Core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I) that is believed to belong to the minimal assembly required for catalysis. Complex I functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone (By similarity).

Product Notes
The Human MT-ND5 mt-nd5 (Catalog #AAA331647) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA331647 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MT-ND5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NADH-Ubiquinone Oxidoreductase Chain 5 (MT-ND5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
