Related Product Information for Troponin I native protein
Description: Purified human cardiac Troponin I protein.
Background: Troponin I is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle, the others are troponin T and troponin C. Human troponin I is presented in cardiac muscle tissue by a single isoform with molecular weight 23876 Da and it consists of 209 amino acid residues. It binds actin and inhibits actomyosin ATPase activity in the absence of calcium. In 2000, Labarrere et al. found that persistent elevation of cardiac troponin I levels after heart transplantation were associated with high risk for ‘developing coronary artery disease and graft failure after cardiac transplantation. The cardiac troponin I may be a useful tool in identifying patients with heart failure who are at increased risk for progressive ventricular dysfunction and death.

Product Notes
The Troponin I (Catalog #AAA13523) is a Native Protein produced from Human heart tissue and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Troponin I can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Other applications have not been tested. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Troponin I for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Troponin I, Native Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
