Principle of the Assay: The AAA Biotech' Human Inhibin beta A ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human Inhibin beta A in Cell Culture Supernatants, Serum, Plasma. This assay employs an antibody specific for Human Inhibin beta A coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and Inhibin beta A present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Human Inhibin beta A antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Inhibin beta A bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.!!Background/Introduction: Activin A is a homodimer of 14kDa beta-A. Activin A, a cytokine member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily, is expressed locally by the mesenchymal component of the hemopoietic microenvironment. Its expression is regulated on the mRNA level by different cytokines, and the biological activity of the protein is tightly controlled by several inhibitory molecules. Inhibins and activins are members of the transforming growth factor beta superfamily and are known to modulate the growth and differentiation of several cell types. Inhibins and activins inhibit and activate, respectively, the secretion of follitropin by the pituitary gland. Inhibins/activins are involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation, erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival, embryonic axial development or bone growth, depending on their subunit composition. Inhibins appear to oppose the functions of activins.

Product Notes
The Human INHBA inhba (Catalog #AAA105584) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA105584 ELISA Kit recognizes Human INHBA. AAA Biotech's Inhibin beta A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Sandwich ELISA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the INHBA inhba for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Inhibin beta A, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
