Related Product Information for ITK active protein
ITK is a member of the TEC family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases. ITK is expressed in T-cells and is important for T-cell development and activation through the antigen receptor. ITK requires prior activation of LCK, ZAP70 and PI3-kinase for efficient activation and shares major substrates with both LCK and ZAP70. ITK knockout mice show multiple effects on T cell development, cytokine production and T-helper cell differentiation. T cells that lack or express mutant versions of ITK show impaired TCR-induced actin polymerization, cell polarization and regulation of the signaling events involved in cytoskeletal reorganization.

Product Notes
The ITK (Catalog #AAA214349) is an Active Protein produced from Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Human ITK (N-GST tag) reacts with Human (H sapiens) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ITK, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
