Reconstitution
Reconstitute in a dilute acidic or alkali solution. For example, it can be reconstituted in 5-10mM HCI to a concentration of 1.0mg/mL. The solution can then be diluted to other aqueous buffers. After reconstitution, the recombinant insulin should be stored at 4°C. The working aliquots should be utilized within the week of generation. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA or HSA) and store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
