A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence. The expected band size for Alpha-fetoprotein is 68.7kDa, though this protein is also glycosylated (Uniprot ID: P02771). successfully detected human Alpha-fetoprotein in HepG2 cell lysates.)

IF (Immunofluorescence)

( Immunofluoresence staining of fixed HepG2 cells with anti-Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) antibody AF5 Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HepG2 cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of AF5 at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (1 ug/ml), showing cytoplasmic staining. Product Notes

The AFP afp (Catalog #AAA71967) is a Recombinant Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) [AF5] reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), Monoclonal Recombinant Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
