Related Product Information for anti-bcl-2 antibody
bcl-2 is an integral outer mitochondrial membrane protein that blocks the apoptotic death of some cells such as lymphocytes. Constitutive expression of bcl-2, such as in the case of translocation of bcl-2 to Ig heavy-chain loci, is thought to be the cause of Follicular Lymphoma. Anti-bcl-2 has shown consistent negative reaction on reactive germinal centers and positive staining of neoplastic follicles in Follicular Lymphoma. Consequently, this antibody is valuable when distinguishing between reactive and neoplastic follicular proliferation in lymph node biopsies. This antibody may also be used in distinguishing between those Follicular Lymphomas that express bcl-2 protein and the small number in which the neoplastic cells are bcl-2-negative. Anti-bcl-2 has been used as a predictive biomarker for recurrence of Cancer of the Breast and Non-Small-Cell Carcinoma of the Lung.

Product Notes
The bcl-2 bcl2 (Catalog #AAA59171) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The bcl-2 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "bcl-2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
