Related Product Information for anti-CRP antibody
C-reactive protein (CRP) is an annular (ring-shaped), pentameric protein found in blood plasma, the levels of which rise in response to inflammation (i.e., C-reactive protein is an acute-phase protein of hepatic origin that increases following interleukin-6 secretion from macrophages and T cells). Its physiological role is to bind to lysophosphatidylcholine expressed on the surface of dead or dying cells (and some types of bacteria) in order to activate the complement system via the C1Q complex. CRP is synthesized by the liver in response to factors released by macrophages and fat cells (adipocytes). It is a member of the pentraxin family of proteins. It is not related to C-peptide (insulin) or protein C (blood coagulation). C-reactive protein was the first pattern recognition receptor (PRR) to be identified.

Product Notes
The CRP crp (Catalog #AAA118844) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti-Human C-reactive protein(CRP) Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human. Other species are not tested. Please decide the specificity by homology and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C-reactive protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRP crp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C-reactive protein, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
