Preparation and Storage
This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20 degree C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8 degree C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20 degree C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

Mouse anti Pig CD6, clone a38b2, recognizes the porcine homologue of human CD6.
Studies have demonstrated that porcine CD6 is expressed exclusively on T-lymphocytes. Characterization studies of clone a38b2 (Pauly et al. 1996) have shown that this clone recognizes an epitope on T-lymphocytes which not present on either monocytes or B-cells. Clone ab36b2 immunoprecipitates a monomeric protein of ~150kDa from an activated T-cell lysate. Clone ab36b2 binds to different epitope from clone MIL-8 on porcine CD6 due to their total lack of reciprocal binding to CD6 expressing cells (Pescovitz et al. 1998).
