Cell Culture, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), IP (Immunoprecipitation), IF (Immunofluorescence), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), DB (Dot Blot)
Function
Catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens. Creatine kinase isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa (Probable). Acts a key regulator of adapative thermogenesis as part of mediating phosphorylation of creatine to initiate a futile cycle of creative phosphorylation and dephosphorylation (By similarity). During the futile cycle, which dissipates the high energy charge of energy of N-phospcreatine as heat without performing any mechanical or chemical work (By similarity).
Cellular location
Cytoplasm, cytosol [ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q04447] Mitochondrion {ECO:0000250|UniProtkb: Q04447} Note= Localizes to the mitochondria of thermogenic fat cells via the internal MTS-like signal (iMTS-L) region [ECO:0000250|UniProtKB: Q04447}.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Product Notes
The CKB ckb (Catalog #AAA283599) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Creatine Kinase BB Antibody (Center) reacts with Human, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Creatine Kinase BB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Culture, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), IP (Immunoprecipitation), IF (Immunofluorescence), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), DB (Dot Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CKB ckb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Creatine Kinase BB, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
