Application Data

(Fig.1: FACS analysis of BOSC23 cells using GM-5F4. cells were transiently transfected with an expression vector encoding either FasL (red curve) or an irrelevant protein (control transfectant: black curve). Binding of GM-5F4 was detected with a PE-conjugated secondary antibody. A positive signal was obtained only with FasL transfected cells.)

Related Product Information for anti-FASLG antibody
Background: The FAS ligand (FASL, CD95), a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, induces apoptosis in FAS-bearing cells (1). FASL is a type II membrane receptor with a soluble form that can be released into the extracellular fluid by proteolytic processing. Various cells express Fas, whereas FASL is expressed in activated splenocytes and thymocytes (2). In the immune system, Fas and FasL are involved in down-regulation of immune reactions as well as in T cellmediated cytotoxicity. Malfunction of the Fas system causes lymphoproliferative disorders and accelerates autoimmune diseases, whereas its exacerbation may cause tissue destruction.

Product Notes

The FASLG faslg (Catalog #AAA71472) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human FAS ligand (FasL) monoclonal antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FASL can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FASLG faslg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FASL, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
