Related Product Information for anti-GLEPP-1 antibody
Glomerular Epithelial Protein 1 (GLEPP1) is a transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatase found only in the epithelial cells of the renal glomerulus. It is localized to the apical surface of polarized cells and may have tissue-specific functions through activation of Src family kinases. It may have multiple isoform-specific and tissue-specific functions, including the regulation of osteoclast production and activity, inhibition of cell proliferation and facilitation of apoptosis. This gene is a candidate tumor suppressor, and decreased expression of this gene has been observed in several types of cancer. GLEPP-1 is present only in visceral glomerular cells (Podocytes). The presence of GLEPP1 may be used as a marker of podocyte integrity in various forms of glomerular injury.

Product Notes

The GLEPP-1 (Catalog #AAA14075) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti GLEPP-1 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Rat, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GLEPP-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western blotting: 0.1-1 ug/mL ELISA: 0.01-0.1 ug/mL Immunoprecipitation: 2-5 ug/mL IHC: 2-10 ug/mL Flow Cytometry: Not tested Positive Control: Kidney Tissue Cellular location: Cell Membrane Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GLEPP-1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GLEPP-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
