WB (Western Blot)

(The human IGF1 recombinant protein (12.5ng) was resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human IGF1 antibody (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system. The cell lysates (40ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human IGF1 antibody (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system. Lane 1.: 293T cell lysate Lane 2.: IGF1 transfected 293T cell lysate)

Related Product Information for anti-IGF1 antibody
Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), also called somatomedin C, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IGF1 gene. IGF-1 has also been referred to as a Sulfation factor and its effects were termed nonsuppressible insulin-like activity (NSILA) in the 1970s. IGF-1 is a hormone similar in molecular structure to insulin. It plays an important role in childhood growth and continues to have anabolic effects in adults. A synthetic analog of IGF-1, mecasermin, is used for the treatment of growth failure. IGF-1 consists of 70 amino acids in a single chain with three intramolecular disulfide bridges. IGF-1 has a molecular weight of 7,649 daltons.

Product Notes

The IGF1 igf1 (Catalog #AAA48141) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IGF1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IGF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IF (Immunofluorescence), ICC (Immunocytochemistry), WB (Western Blot), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IGF1 igf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IGF1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
