Related Product Information for anti-MEKK3 antibody
MAP kinase kinase kinase (MEKK3 or MAP3K3) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that activates SAPK and ERK via phosphorylation and activation of their respective MAP kinase kinases, SEK and MEK1/2. MEKK3 also stimulates MEK5 via activation of ERK5/BMK1, which is at least partly regulated by a direct interaction between MEK5 and MEKK3 via p67phox-Bem1p (PB1) protein-protein interaction domains found in both proteins. MEKK3 modulates NF-kappaB activation in response to a variety of agonists including TNFalpha, LPS, IL-1 and LPA. Despite reports showing that phosphorylation of MEKK3 at Ser526 within the activation loop is necessary for kinase activation, at least one study suggests that dual phosphorylation at Thr516 and Ser520 is required for LPA-stimulated IKKbeta /NF-kappaB activation. Phosphorylation at Thr294 appears to negatively regulate MEKK3 by promoting 14-3-3beta binding and inhibition of the kinase activity.

Product Notes
The MEKK3 map3k3 (Catalog #
AAA30219) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MEKK3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MEKK3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB: 1:1000-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 ICC: 1:100-1:500 FC/FACS: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MEKK3 map3k3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"MEKK3, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
