WB (Western Blot)

(NO66(652) was immunopre-cipitated from 1mg of Jurkat cells membrane fraction, blotted with M25089 of 10 ug. Western blot was performed from the immunopre-cipitate using M25089 at 1/1000 dilution. Anti-Mouse-IgG(HRP), specific to the non-reduced form of IgG, was used as secondary antibody at 1/10000 dilution. Lane 1: Jurkat cells membrane fraction. Lane2: IP product of Jurkat cells membrane fraction.Predicted band size : 71 KDaObserved band size : 71 KDaBlocking and dilution buffer and concentration:5% milk/TBST.)

Oxygenase that can act as both a histone lysine demethylase and a ribosomal histidine hydroxylase. Specifically demethylates 'Lys-4' (H3K4me) and 'Lys-36' (H3K36me) of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. Preferentially demethylates trimethylated H3 'Lys-4' (H3K4me3) and monomethylated H3 'Lys-4' (H3K4me1) residues, while it has weaker activity for dimethylated H3 'Lys-36' (H3K36me2). Also catalyzes the hydroxylation of 60S ribosomal protein L8 on 'His-216'.
