Related Product Information for anti-OPG antibody
OPG (Osteoprotegerin) belongs to the TNF receptor super-family and is implicated in bone remodeling and in the atherosclerotic process. This molecule acts as a decoy receptor for the RANKL (Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor-KappaB Ligand), inhibiting binding of RANKL to its receptor, RANK. OPG acts as a soluble neutralizing receptor of TRAIL (TNF-Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand), an anti-inflammatory molecule with anti-atherosclerotic properties. Mostly implicated in bone remodeling, the RANK/RANKL/OPG axis is involved in immune and vascular system. OPG has been associated with increased risk of atherosclerotic disease in the general population. OPG has also been associated with increased pulse wave velocity, progression of arterial calcification and with mortality in both end-stage renal failure patients as well as the general population.

Product Notes

The OPG tnfrsf11b (Catalog #AAA78280) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Monoclonal Antibody to OPG (Clone: ABM10D2) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's OPG can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OPG tnfrsf11b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "OPG, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
