Biological Significance
Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A is a tumor suppressor protein, which in humans is encoded by the CDKN2A gene. P16 plays an important role in regulating the cell cycle, and mutations in p16 increase the risk of developing a variety of cancers, notably melanoma.
Immunogen
p16 antibody was raised in mouse using recombinant p16 as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes
The p16 cdkn2a (Catalog #AAA74580) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The p16 antibody reacts with Human p16 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "p16, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
