Biological Significance
Expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) or cyclin or polymerase delta auxiliary protein is elevated in the nucleus during late G1 phase immediately before the onset of DNA synthesis, becoming maximal during S-phase and declining during G2 and M phases. Its level correlates directly with rates of cellular proliferation and DNA synthesis. PCNA/cyclin may act as an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase-delta to play a fundamental role in the initiation of cell proliferation.
Cross-Reactivity
Human, mouse, insect, yeast
Biohazard Information
This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling.
Tag/Conjugate
Biotin
Immunogen
PCNA antibody (biotin) was raised in mouse using recombinant rat proliferating cell nuclear antigen protein as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C.

Product Notes

The PCNA pcna (Catalog #AAA74535) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PCNA antibody (biotin) reacts with Human, Mouse, Insect, Yeast and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PCNA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IP (Immunoprecipitation), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PCNA pcna for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PCNA, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
