Source Note
4B9 is a Mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody geneRated by immunization of Balb/c mice with Human umbilical vein endothelium (HUVE) that were non-enzymatically harvested after stimulation for 24h with recombinant Human (rh) TNF-alpha (10 ng/ml). Splenocytes were fused with the NS-1 nonsecretory murine myeloma line.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C, or in small aliquots at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for anti-Vcam1 antibody
Vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) is induced on Human umbilical vein endothelium (HUVE) by recombinant Human tumor necrosis factor - alpha (rh TNF-alpha), rh interleukin-1 (IL-1) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and is involved in adherence of lymphocytic cell lines to HUVE. VCAM-1 is only minimally expressed on unstimulated endothelium. Molecular cloning and sequencing of VCAM-1 predicts a 69-kDa core protein with 6 potential N-linked glycosylation sites, if the protein is fully glycosylated a mature protein of about 90kDa is yielded. VCAM-1 mediates a component of the adherence of Peripheral Blood Lymphocytes (PBL) to rh TNF-stimulated HUVE, this CD18 independent mechanism of lymphocyte adherence to cytokine stimulated endothelium may be an important pathway of lymphocyte emigRation at sites of inflammation and immune reaction.

Product Notes

The Vcam1 vcam1 (Catalog #AAA77517) is an Antibody produced from Mouse (Balb/c) and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti VCAM-1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's VCAM-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Vcam1 vcam1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VCAM-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
