Related Product Information for anti-APLN antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Apelin(APLN) detection. Tested with WB in Human, Mouse, Rat.
Background: Apelin is a neuropeptide expressed in the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei that acts on specific receptors located on vasopressinergic neurons. The apelin gene to Xq25-q26.3 based on sequence similarity between the apelin sequence and a chromosome X PAC clone. This gene encodes a peptide that functions as an endogenous ligand for the G protein coupled receptor APJ. The encoded protein is synthesized as a prepropeptide that is processed into biologically active C-terminal fragments. The peptide fragments activate different tissue specific signaling pathways that regulate diverse biological functions including fluid homeostasis, cardiovascular function and insulin secretion. This protein also functions as a coreceptor for the human immunodeficiency virus 1.

Product Notes
The APLN apln (Catalog #AAA45089) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Apelin antibody reacts with Reacts with: Human, Rat Predicted to work with: Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Apelin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the APLN apln for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Apelin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
