Related Product Information for anti-CACNG2 antibody
CACNG2 (Calcium Voltage-Gated Channel Auxiliary Subunit Gamma 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CACNG2 include Mental Retardation, Autosomal Dominant 10 and Autosomal Dominant Non-Syndromic Intellectual Disability. Among its related pathways are PEDF Induced Signaling and DREAM Repression and Dynorphin Expression. GO annotations related to this gene include voltage-gated calcium channel activity and ionotropic glutamate receptor binding. An important paralog of this gene is CACNG3.The protein encoded by this gene is a type I transmembrane AMPA receptor regulatory protein (TARP). TARPs regulate both trafficking and channel gating of the AMPA receptors. The AMPA subtype of ionotropic glutamate receptors are ligand gated ion channels that are typically activated by glutamate released from presynaptic neuron terminals and mediate fast neurotransmission in excitatory synapses. TARPs thus play an important role in synaptic plasticity, learning and memory. Mutations in this gene cause the disorder autosomal dominant mental retardation-10 (MRD10).

Product Notes

The CACNG2 cacng2 (Catalog #AAA173744) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CACNG2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CACNG2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CACNG2 cacng2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CACNG2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
