• Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human CACYBP (7-47aa QKDLEEVKVLLEKATRKRVRDALTAEKSKIETEIKNKMQQK), different from the related mouse sequence by five amino acids, and from the related rat sequence by six amino acids.
• Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg NaN3.
• Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
• Preparation and Storage: At -20 degree C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4 degree C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20 degree C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Background: Calcyclin-binding protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CACYBP gene. And this gene is mapped to 1q24-q25. The protein encoded by this gene is a calcyclin binding protein. It may be involved in calcium-dependent ubiquitination and subsequent proteosomal degradation of target proteins. In addition, it probably serves as a molecular bridge in ubiquitin E3 complexes and participates in the ubiquitin-mediated degradation of beta-catenin. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
