Preparation and Storage
MBS recommends aliquoting the redissolved antisera into smaller quantities prior to freezing. Store the aliquots frozen at -20 degree C or lower. Once an aliquot is thawed, store it at 4 degree C.
Related Product Information for anti-CALCA antibody
These pooled antisera were raised in rabbits which were immunized with synthetic Salmon Calcitonin covalently attached onto bovine thyroglobulin as a carrier protein. The pooled antisera have been shown to immunoprecipitate 125I-Iabeled Salmon Calcitonin quantitatively by RIA techniques at dilutions up to 1: 12,000. The pooled antisera were characterized by RIA techniques for cross reaction with other molecules.
Each 0.1 ml aliquot of the pooled antisera was lyophilized. Dilute the lyophilized powder with 0.1 ml of buffer (such as phosphate buffered saline or Tris) for the equivalent of whole antisera, or with additional buffer for more dilute antisera. We recOlmnend that the end-user perform an immunotitration experiment (starting at a dilution of 1: 1000) on their sample using their specific techniques since different laboratories use a variety of different techniques.

Product Notes
The CALCA calca (Catalog #AAA58827) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Calcitonin (Salmon) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CALCA calca for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calcitonin (Salmon), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
