Related Product Information for anti-COMP antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for COMP detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P, Direct ELISA in Human; Mouse; Rat.
Background: COMP is a pentameric extracellular matrix protein that catalyzes the assembly of collagens and promotes formation of well-defined fibrils. This gene is mapped to 19q13.32. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis and is an important serum marker for myocardial infarction. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in striated muscle as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar brain isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family.

Product Notes

The COMP comp (Catalog #AAA124942) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-COMP Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COMP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Direct ELISA), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COMP comp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COMP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
