Function
Protein kinase activator that acts as a key activator of the integrated stress response (ISR) following various stresses, such as iron deficiency and mitochondrial stress (PubMed:32132706, PubMed:32132707, PubMed:35388015, PubMed:37327776). Detects impaired protein import and processing in mitochondria, activating the ISR (PubMed:35388015). May also required for the induction of death receptor-mediated apoptosis through the regulation of caspase activation (PubMed: ).[DAP3-binding cell death enhancer 1]: Mitochondrion. Mitochondrion outer membrane. Mitochondrion inner membrane. Note=Imported in the mitochondrial matrix in absence of stress, leading to its degradation by LONP1 (PubMed:37327776). Localizes at the mitochondrial surface in response to iron deficiency: iron deficiency impairs mitochondrial import, promoting localization at the mitochondrial surface and stabilization (PubMed:37327776). Associates with the mitochondrion inner membrane in response to mitochondrial stress, leading to its proteolytic processing by OMA1, and generation of the AP3-binding cell death enhancer 1 short form (DELE1(S) or S-DELE1) (PubMed:32132707)
Tissue Location
Detected in liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, spleen, thyroid, testis, ovary, small intestine and colon
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20°C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4°C.

Product Notes
The DELE kiaa0141 (Catalog #AAA291690) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DELE Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DELE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ICC (Immunocytochemistry), IF (Immunofluorescence), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DELE kiaa0141 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DELE, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
