Rabbit Elafin/Skalp Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PI3 antibody
Anti-Elafin/Skalp Antibody
No cross reactivity with other proteins.
No cross reactivity with other proteins.
IHC (Immunohiostchemistry)
(Elafin/Skalp was detected in paraffin-embedded sections of human tonsil tissues using rabbit anti- Elafin/Skalp Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 1ug/mL. The immunohistochemical section was developed using SABC method.)
WB (Western Blot)
(Western blot analysis of Elafin/Skalp expression in human placenta extract (lane 1). Elafin/Skalp at 25KD was detected using rabbit anti- Elafin/Skalp Antigen Affinity purified polyclonal antibody at 0.5 ug/mL. The blot was developed using chemiluminescence (ECL) method.)
Background: Elafin, also known as peptidase inhibitor 3 or skin-derived antileukoprotease (SKALP), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PI3 gene. This gene encodes an elastase-specific inhibitor that functions as an antimicrobial peptide against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and fungal pathogens. The protein contains a WAP-type four-disulfide core (WFDC) domain, and is thus a member of the WFDC domain family. Most WFDC gene members are localized to chromosome 20q12-q13 in two clusters: centromeric and telomeric. And this gene belongs to the centromeric cluster. Expression of this gene is upgulated by bacterial lipopolysaccharides and cytokines.

Product Notes
The PI3 pi3 (Catalog #AAA46624) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Elafin/Skalp Antibody reacts with Human No cross reactivity with other proteins. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Elafin/Skalp can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PI3 pi3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Elafin/Skalp, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
