Rabbit FOLH1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-FOLH1 antibody
FOLH1 Antibody (N-term)
IF (Immunofluorescence)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of FOLH1 Antibody (N-term) with ZR-75-1 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green).DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
IHC (Immunohiostchemistry)
(FOLH1 Antibody (N-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human prostate carcinoma followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of FOLH1 Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
WB (Western Blot)
(FOLH1 Antibody (N-term) western blot analysis in ZR-75-1 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the FOLH1 antibody detected the FOLH1 protein (arrow).)
belonging to the M28 peptidase family. The protein acts as a
glutamate carboxypeptidase on different alternative substrates,
including the nutrient folate and the neuropeptide
N-acetyl-l-aspartyl-l-glutamate and is expressed in a number of
tissues such as prostate, central and peripheral nervous system and
kidney. A mutation in this gene may be associated with impaired
intestinal absorption of dietary folates, resulting in low blood
folate levels and consequent hyperhomocysteinemia. Expression of
this protein in the brain may be involved in a number of
pathological conditions associated with glutamate excitotoxicity.
In the prostate the protein is up-regulated in cancerous cells and
is used as an effective prognostic indicator of
prostate cancer. This gene likely arose from a duplication event of
a nearby chromosomal region. Alternative splicing gives rise to
multiple transcript variants encoding several different isoforms.

Product Notes
The FOLH1 folh1 (Catalog #AAA287536) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 161-190. The FOLH1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse, Pig, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FOLH1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot), ELISA, IF (Immunofluorescence). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOLH1 folh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FOLH1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
